Professional Experience

Elsie Shi joined JT&N Insurance Practice in 2008. Ranked by Chambers & Partners, Ms. Shi specializes in the areas of corporate law, insurance, mergers and acquisitions and asset management.

Her practice encompasses the entirety of a broad and dynamic scope of relevant matters, including: establishment of “green-field” insurance operations in China; formation of insurance joint ventures; insurance M&A and reorganization; online insurance; reinsurance arrangements; insurance policy wording reviews and revisions; regulatory compliance as well as insurance dispute resolution.

Ms. Shi is familiar with the needs of clients at different stages of their investments in China and is adept at designing compliance programs and transaction structures that fit their investment needs.

In addition to her insurance practice, Ms. Shi remains heavily engaged in the broader field of multi-industry M&A, with an emphasis on financial institutions.
